A Little About Me

Ever since I learned what books were I have wanted to read them. I remember when I was like three or four, I climbed on to my mom’s bed pulled out her bible and said, "Teach me how to read." I had trouble learning how to read and had always pretending like I knew what I was reading but really I was to self-conscious to ask questions or admit I couldn't do something everyone else could do.

Eventually one day, words seemed to click (still waiting for it to happen with numbers) and now I can't stop writing. I have always been fascinated by authors and how they find the write (get it?) to use to make you see, feel, and experience their stories. I started writing pictures books and the earliest one I can remember was "Spider's Halloween". I ended up dropping the stapler on my foot and cried for two hours until my dad came with pizza. (It hurt! Like seriously, if you can avoid this situation, please do.)

When I was in fourth grade, I had a hard time. I let go of fantasy and went to Laura Ingles and girly girly teen fiction books, because that's what everyone else was reading. Then my sister told me about Twilight and I thought it was dumb but I was in love with Taylor Launter so I read the book so I could watch the movie and that's when I became a fanpire. Literally. After that I was reading any fantasy book I could get my hands on: Harry Potter, The Mortal Instruments, Vampire Academy, Etc. When I hit ninth grade, I was really into Shakespeare and fell in love with the classics and have several of them such as: Jane Austen, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Charles Dickens. I am working on gaining a copy of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde that isn't extremely delicate, doesn't smell and can survive high school hallways.

I love poetry and short stories and have: Whitman and Edgar Allen Poe. I really want some Transcendentalists poems like Emerson and Thoreau. I enjoy manga and graphic novels. I enjoy blogging for your viewing, and hope you enjoy.
